Beasley Lawn & Landscape Maintenance

1998 — 2026

Twenty-seven years on Pearl lawns.

One family. One Highway 468 phone number. A route that has wound through Pearl, Brandon, Flowood, and Richland for longer than most of the trees we trim around.

  1. 1998

    The first route

A trailer, a mower, and a handful of Highway 468 neighbors. The phone number we still answer was already on the truck.

  2. 2003

    On paper

Incorporated as the Beasley Company in February. The route had already grown past what a notebook could keep track of.

  3. 2005

    After Katrina rolled through

Pearl is inland but the storm still pulled half the canopy down. We spent that fall hauling magnolia limbs and dragging tarps full of leaves out of the Rankin County back yards.

  4. 2012

    The Rankin County circuit

Pearl, Brandon, Flowood, Richland — Monday through Friday, same yards in roughly the same order each week. Stopped taking jobs past Brandon and past Byram so the schedule stayed honest.

  5. 2018

    Twenty years on Highway 468

Same family, same base, same phone. A few of the original 1998 clients were still on the weekly list.

  6. 2025

    Twenty-seven Pearl summers

Still here. Still cutting centipede at 1.5 inches. Still picking up the phone before the third ring.

Call Beasley Lawn & Landscape Maintenance at (601) 932-2501. Same number since 1998.

About Beasley Lawn & Landscape

Same family. Same phone. Same care about cutting it right.

We started in 1998 with a trailer, a mower, and a route up Highway 468. Twenty-seven summers later the trailer is newer and the routes run a little wider, but the work is the same — show up when we said, cut it at the right height for the grass that's actually in the yard, and leave it cleaner than we found it.

We stay close to home. Pearl is the base. Brandon, Flowood, Richland, Florence, Byram, and east Jackson are the rest of the week. We're not chasing tri-state contracts; we're keeping the lawns we already cut looking the way our neighbors expect them to look.

There's no trick to it. Show up, cut the grass at the height it wants, blow the clippings off the walk, take the trimmings with you.

What we do — Pearl, MS

Two things, done well.

Lawn maintenance and landscaping. Not pest control. Not pressure washing. Not tree removal. Two services, twenty-seven years.

  • Weekly lawn maintenance

Mow at the right height for what's in the yard — centipede at 1.5", zoysia at 1 to 2", Bermuda short and tight. Edge, line-trim, and blow every visit. Bagged or mulched, your call.

  • Pine-straw + mulch beds

Fresh pine straw refresh on beds in spring and fall. Hardwood mulch when you'd rather. Edges cut clean against the centipede.

  • Seasonal landscaping

Spring bed prep, summer pruning on crape myrtle and magnolia, fall leaf cleanup, dormant-season cleanup before pre-emergent goes down in February.

  • Bermuda overseed + dormancy care

Fall overseed for clients who want a green lawn through January. Bermuda dormancy mowing and edging Dec through February for those who don't.

Three rules, twenty-seven years

The Beasley standard.

Everything we do for the lawns of Pearl, Brandon, and Flowood lives inside these three sentences. Older than the truck, older than half the trees on the route.

i.

Show up when we said.

Same day of the week. Same time window. If the schedule slips, you hear it from us first — not from a missed cut.

ii.

Cut at the right height.

Centipede at 1.5 inches. Zoysia at 1 to 2. Bermuda short and tight in summer, longer in shade. The grass tells you what it needs if you know what to listen for.

iii.

Leave it cleaner than we found it.

Walks, driveway, and porch blown clean. Clippings off the curb. Trimmings out of the bed lines. Trailer rolls out and the yard looks like a yard, not a worksite.

Three sentences. Twenty-seven Pearl summers. The same family answering the same phone at (601) 932-2501.

Not twelve services — two

Two things. Done well.

A lot of yards in Pearl have been mowed by somebody who also wanted to sell pressure washing, pest control, gutter cleaning, holiday lights, and tree removal. We do two things. They cover almost everything a Rankin County yard actually needs.

One.

Lawn maintenance

Weekly through the growing season, every other week in shoulder months, dormant cleanup in winter. Same day each week.

  • Mow at the right height for what is actually in the yard
  • Edge driveways, walks, beds, and around the mailbox
  • Line-trim around trees, fences, and play sets
  • Blow walks, driveway, and porch clean before we leave
  • Bag or mulch — your call, no upcharge for the swap
  • Leaf cleanup folded into the weekly visit Oct through January

Two.

Landscaping

Project work scheduled in between routes. Smaller jobs in a day, bigger jobs across a week. Flat quote, not subscription.

  • Pine-straw mulch refresh, spring and fall
  • Hardwood mulch when you would rather
  • Bed-line recutting where the centipede has crept in
  • Pruning on crape myrtle, dogwood, and magnolia in their right season
  • Shrub install and replacement — boxwood, holly, azalea
  • Stepping-stone paths and small bed walls

Anything outside those two — pest control, irrigation construction, tree removal, pressure washing, gutter cleaning — we'll point you to somebody we trust. We'd rather you call the right person than the convenient one.

How working with us goes

Usually within the same week. We look at grass type, slope, drainage, and what the bed lines should be.

  3. 03

We give you a number on paper

Weekly rate for maintenance, a flat number for landscaping. No subscription, no surprise add-ons.

  4. 04

Same day each week. Skip a week if it's dry, we'll catch you on the next pass.

What people say

Twenty-seven years of word-of-mouth.

  • We've had Beasley cutting our yard going back to when our oldest was in elementary. He's in his thirties now. Same day, same crew, same job done right.

    Linda S.

    Pearl · April 2026

  • They told us the truth about our Bermuda — said to wait for overseed until October, not push it in August. Other guys would've just sold us seed. That's why we stayed.

    Robert W.

    Brandon · March 2026

  • Beasley keeps showing up. Through two moves inside Flowood, through a roof replacement, through Christmas week leaf cleanup. They're just there.

    Marlene H.

    Flowood · Feb 2026

  • Asked them once if they did pressure washing too. He laughed and said no, that's somebody else's trade. I appreciated that more than if he'd said yes.

    Daryl P.

    Richland · Jan 2026

  • Fair price, never an upsell, and the trim line around the magnolia is always crisp. Twenty-something years and counting.

    Ann K.

    Florence · Nov 2025

Questions

What people ask.

  • Weekly maintenance starts around $40 for a smaller Pearl or Richland lot and goes up from there with size, slope, and bed work. We give you the number in writing after we walk the property — no quote sight-unseen.
